No Snowfall Impact on Construction Schedule |
|
Construction work is carried at its normal pace on Adler - "Alpika-Service" Mountain Resort combined motorway and railway route in spite of heavy snowfalls.
The snowfalls that have battered Sochi caused power line breakage in some areas of the resort, however, they did not impede construction work, nor did they require any rescheduling of construction operations conducted by the SK MOST Group of Companies. The entire vehicle fleet passed maintenance servicing back at the beginning of the winter season, and the vehicles were completely prepared for operation at freezing temperatures. The construction processes also include measures in case the temperature drops below the freezing point. For instance, the movement joints and interspan gaps are filled under protective canopies. "The SK MOST Group of Companies specialists have been well prepared for winter weather surprises. Many of our employees were working in Siberia, Arctic North, and the Far East for many years, which is why they do not perceive snow and frost as something out of the ordinary. We hope that the building material suppliers will not let us down because of the chaos created by the Mother Nature," says Dmitry Korolev, Manager, Production.
