SK MOST Opens a Training Center in Sochi |
|
SK MOST will open its own training center in Sochi as part of its separate subdivision STROY-TREST. This non-profit institution will train specialists with secondary or higher technical education.
”The Center will focus on further training and upgrading the qualifications of workers engaged in construction of the combined (rail and motor) road from Adler to the mountain resort Alpika-Service,” says Viktor Goncharov, Deputy Division Manager, STROY-TREST (SK MOST Group). The curriculum provides training in 28 trades, including high-demand trades like concrete layer, gas/electric welder, loader operator, strapper, tower crane operator and electrician. Each training course lasts 2-4 weeks and includes lectures and practice at SK MOST’s production facilities. According to Viktor Goncharov, “the Training Center’s priority task is to upgrade the qualifications of the company’s staff engaged in construction of the most challenging portions of the Sochi-2014 transport infrastructure. However, the Center’s doors will be open to everyone. Anyone interested, including residents of Sochi and other cities, will be able to take a training course in the Center. They will be provided with accommodation and meals in the company’s camps for the duration of the training course.” The Center’s first training courses are scheduled for this December. We expect that up to 1,500 people could upgrade their qualifications annually. Tatyana Ilicheva / SK MOSTPhoto by Mikhail Agafonov / SK MOST |
